The Event:  The “Don’t Miss” clogging event of the year, the Great Texas Hoedown will explode in the crazy, "weird" town of Austin, Texas, on Oct 7, 2017! This fun event, sponsored by the Texas Clogging Council, occurs only every other year, and is intended to explore the roots of clogging – focusing on old-time traditional clogging, flatfootin’, buck dancing, etc., and figures such as Southern Appalachian Big Circle, Kentucky Running Set, Country Hoedown, and other fun stuff.  (Yes, there will be some line dances, too)  All levels welcome, even beginners and non-cloggers!

The Instructor: We are excited to have Matt Koziuk from Jacksonville, Florida as our instructor this year!  Matt is a master of both contemporary and traditional clogging.  As a former member of the Bailey Mountain Clogggers, he helped the team earn five national championships.  Now he's the team captain of the Carolina Fusion.  Matt is an up and coming national instructor as well as a certified judge.

The Location:   This year’s event is at Pioneer Farms in Austin, Texas.

For those staying overnight, there are also several hotels in the area (sorry no special rate).
