Instructor Bio
Debora has been clogging for 29 years and teaching at workshops for 21. She became a Certified Clogging Instructor with C.L.O.G. in 2002. She’s been asked to choreograph for college & high school theatrical performances, has taught clogging at middle school, high school and college classes, taught clogging for people with disabilities at ARCIL and taught a group of blind students. She lost a bet and had to compete in traditional freestyle. But after spending some quality time with the porcelain throne she came in 1st in her age group & 2nd overall - the 1st place winner was a student who learned a little extra drag slide action from her. She started Contemporary Cloggers in the 90’s and although the name aptly describes the music to which she choreos (pop, rock, jam bands, oldies & bluegrass with a twist), it doesn’t mean she lacks the traditional gene. Drag slide is her middle name. She’s attended TCC board meetings since 1991 and is currently the President. Her motto -Dance is love in search of a beat.
